Siemens MMC has its unique file system so if you will try to formate MMC using normal PC/Laptop, it will not recognise the File System Type and will ask to format the CARD. You can only use this card to make its Image using S7Imgrd and write back the Image File to MMC using S7ImgWr. Links are given below
